About us
Our first Rough Collie (Ugony Golden Queen) was purchased from May Young in 1959 and was a faithful friend who also worked the cows and sheep on our farm in Whitland, Carmarthenshire.
The film star 'Lassie" had a huge influence in this choice of dog and in 1965 we decided we would like another collie, this time to show and breed. We saw an advert in the local paper for a dog show to be held in Carmarthen cattle market and decided to go. And the rest, as they say, is history.
Smooth Collies joined our kennel on 13th March 1984 when Manordeifi Rosalyn produced two lovely tricolour bitches by the well known Ch. Sylbecq Draught Guinness at Foxearth. They were Manordeifi Lady Samantha and Manordeifi Lady McBeth.
Delia was a Committee member of the Smooth Collie Club of Great Britain for many years and has a particular interest in the health of the breed. She is still an active member of the Rough and Smooth Collie Training Association Committee.
Eira and Delia are experienced breeders and judges and both award Challenge Certificates at championship shows.
